Raid/Loot Rules and Regulations:
// EDIT // 2.13.08 -- AS OF NOW, we are upholding the rule that we gear up MAINS FIRST, then alts.
Basic Loot Rules Are As Follows:
As a guild and as courteous players we frown upon ninjaing for any reason whatsoever. If you have a question about loot, simply open your mouth on ventrilo and ask your fellow teammates or type in party chat what you are to do for any given piece of loot. The accepted procedure for looting in PuGs (Pick Up Groups) on Elune is to greed any blue or green boe items, pass on epic boe and boss loot. Also with the advent of Burning Crusade certain patterns have been introduced that are bop as well. When PuGging it is best to establish whether or not anyone in the party needs the item besides yourself and decide then to roll. Guild looting is slightly different. We roll need on all boe items regardless of rank of item (green, blue, purple), and pass on boss loot to discuss who needs the item. There are occassions where boss loot will be rolled need for if it is discussed in party or in ventrilo. Also as a guild we will allow ups on Epic (purple) items if they are equipped immediately by the individual calling for an upgrade on said item.
There is no limit on upgrades in any given instance save for being courteous if someone else has not received an upgrade and you have.
All sharded items in five man instances that are filled solely by guild members will be sent to the guild bank for use for guild enchantments. (i.e. you need an enchant down the line and need certain materials for it we will provide them to you so long as you do not abuse this privilege and try to use guild mats for your own gains disregarding other people or for enchanting every single weapon you get knowing full well you will upgrade soon..etc.) Violation of this rule will quickly incur the wrath of the powers that be. (And trust me, you don't want our two lovely GM's on your ass for being an ass hat)
Raid looting is a completely different monster. As with normal five man instances there will be no limit on upgrades save the fact that it is mandatory that if you have received one upgrade you will not be allowed to roll on more items until someone that has not received one (be it of your class or another that can use the same item you can) has received their upgrade for the raid. Upgrades are per raid not per night. So if we raid the same saved instance on two separate nights you will not be allowed to upgrade both nights until the aformentioned circumstances have been satisfied. Any item that will be sharded may be requested by someone wishing to have an alternative set of gear and will not be counted as your upgrade for the raid. Again, discretion is advised here. If we deem that you are rolling on items just to have them and not wanting to use your "upgrade" for the raid your privileges will be revoked and you may be summarily punished by whatever means the powers that be deem necessary. Remember, we all want upgrades but if you see someone that needs the loot more than you be kind and pass it along..we won't progress as a guild if just some of the people are getting loot and we'll be back in the instance again so you're not going to lose out.
Sharded items from raid instances will follow the same rules applicable to five man instances. (see above)
Basic Five Man and Raid Rules (Etiquette) Are As Follows:
Always listen to your party leader and be courteous to other members be they guild or PuG. Being polite goes a long way in this game and your reputation in and out of the guild are built around that. If you have a problem with someone in your party and don't think you can handle it in a polite and courteous manner get in touch with a guild officer and we'll handle it.
In a raid setting your raid leader's word is law. You will not disrupt, displace, or in any other form be a detriment to the progression of the raid. Arguments in raid are grounds for an immediate dismissal (if not worse) and replacement within the raid itself. If you have something on your mind get with the raid leader or other officer in attendance if you feel it needs to be addressed immediately. If it is not an immediate problem get with one of your two GM's and they will handle the matter.
If you feel that someone is doing something wrong it is not your place to call that person out in the raid. ONLY the raid leader corrects any inappropriate actions, behavior or performance wise from any member of the raid. If you violate this rule it is grounds for immediate dismissal and replacement from the raid.
If you feel that a certain encounter would be best approached from a different angle other than what is being applied at the time do not offer up your advice in raid chat or in ventrilo. Take your suggestions to tells, the raid leader though having the final say is not omniscient and is prone to mistakes just like any other person. There is a proper forum for suggesting another way of going at an encounter..in the middle of a boss or the explanation of that boss isn't the time to interrupt. (Tells are a different situation not to be applied to the latter.)
Interrupting or undermining the raid leader is absolutely taboo. This falls in line with being disruptive of the raid and will be grounds (if severe enough) for dismissal and replacement from the raid.
